Campervan Rental Dortmund

With well over half a million inhabitants, the city of Dortmund is one of the 9 largest cities in Germany and the third-largest city in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. As part of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region, the former industrial metropolis is now considered the cultural center of the eastern Ruhr region.

Dortmund is known as a stronghold of numerous events and festivals, for example, the "Mayday", which has been held annually in the Westfalenhallen since 1991. The city is also known for its unusually diverse architecture and inner-city parks such as Rombergpark, which are part of the sightseeing experience. Soccer fans like to visit the Westfalenstadion. And when you're done exploring Dortmund, other must-see metropolises like Düsseldorf and Cologne are just a stone's throw away by motorhome.

Getting to Dortmund

Getting to Dortmund by car, train or plane is child's play, because the entire region is very well connected to the transport network.

The A40, A44, A45, and A1 highways run around the city, as do the B1, B54, and B236 federal highways. No matter from which direction you come, you can reach Dortmund quickly by car.

By train, you can travel directly to Dortmund's main train station. Regional trains and Intercity trains from all over Germany stop here every day. For example, you can reach your destination from Berlin by ICE train in less than 4 hours.

You can fly directly to Dortmund Airport. Well-known airlines fly to the airport, using EasyJet, Ryanair, or Eurowings.
