Motorhome Hire Maynooth

A major university town, the population of Maynooth doubles from 15,000 to 30,000 during term time, ensuring there is always something going on in town. Making Maynooth motorhome hires fun all year round. As the headquarters for the Golfing Union of Ireland, it is a great place to play a few rounds with friends old and new, while the Royal Canal Way provides one of the quickest routes out of the town on the back of a bike to the likes of Donadea Forest Park. Architecture lovers won’t want to miss the charms of Castletown House, a fine Palladian country manor house, while both Dublin and the Wicklow Mountains are never more than an hour’s drive away.

Getting to Maynooth

Dublin Airport is a 30-40 minutes drive time from Maynooth along the M4 and M50 motorways. Both require tolls of around €3 per campervan. As Ireland’s largest airport, Dublin Airport has flight routes across the world. It is a hub for the national carrier, Aer Lingus, as well as Ryanair. Following the M4 east will soon see you reaching the outskirts of the Irish capital. Maynooth Railway Station is the terminus of the majority of trains on the Western Commuter line to Dublin, with dozens of services each day. Dublin is also connected to Cherbourg in France, Bootle (Merseyside) in England, and Douglas on the Isle of Man by ferry.

Parking in Maynooth

The majority of parking in central Maynooth takes the form of on-street pay-for parking bays, which are not large enough for most campervans. However, the bays at Court House Square car park do not have length limits. Prices start at €1.50 for one hour and rise to €7 for 24-hours. On the outskirts of the town, it’s possible to park your motorhome rental in Maynooth on any road that isn’t marked with yellow or white lines along its curb-side edge. You should remain considerate to other road users and not park where it will cause an obstruction
