Naples, the famous birthplace of pizza, is a city rich in history and art. Anyone who has been on its streets has been fascinated by it. There are many things to do and see when you hire a motorhome in Naples, suitable for every taste. You can take a tour of the streets of the Spanish Quarters, enter the Duomo or one of the many other churches scattered around the city, or admire the splendid Gulf of Naples from the Virgilian Park. If you are an art lover, you can spend a few hours in the Archaeological Museum or visit the Zevallos Palace, with its collection of works by Caravaggio. Naples is also famous for its culinary culture, especially for the pizza Margherita, which has now become a symbol of the city. If you want to taste it in its most traditional recipe, Matteo's Pizzeria is certainly one of the best places, along with the famous Pizzeria Gino Sorbillo.
Naples is located in the centre of the Gulf of Naples, in Campania and is easily accessible by any means. Flying is the fastest way to get to the city. In fact, Capodichino airport is located a few kilometres from the centre and the most important in Southern Italy, served by companies such as EasyJet, British Airways and Vueling (flight times from London: 2.40 hours). Naples is also well connected by the national motorway network: the A1 connects to Rome and Milan, the A3 to Salerno and the A16 to Bari. If you prefer to travel by train, there are two main train stations: Naples Central Station and Garibaldi Station. Both are connected to most Italian destinations by high-speed lines.
Driving a motorhome rental in Naples is not easy because of the traffic, as such it is advisable to park in the centre or in the surroundings and then continue on foot and by public transport. In addition to the blue stripes for a fee (€2.50/hour), there are several guarded parking lots. We recommend the Napoli Quick Porta di Massa car park near the centre (€30/day) or the Napoli Garage del Lungomare car park (€4/hour). If you prefer to park far from the centre, you can opt for the Quick Morelli Parking (€4/hour) or the Quick Porta Capuana Parking (€20/day).
